Center for Philippine Studies (CPS) hosted a tour of Iglesia Ni Cristo Museum in Quezon City on June 29, 2022, for historians and scholars from various universities in the Philippines who took part in its initial activities. The event is part of the long-year events that mark the first anniversary of founding of the CPS.
Among the scholars guest were Profs. Vicente Angel S. Ybiernas, Michael Charleston “Xiao” B. Chua, and Jose Rhommel B. Hernandez from De La Salle University Manila; Profs. Vicente C. Villan, Joan Tara Reyes, and Kristoffer R. Esquejo, from University of the Philippines Diliman; Prof. Herald Ian C. Guiwa from UP Los Baños; Prof. Romeo P. Peña, from Polytechnic University of the Philippines Manila; Prof. Princess Fame Pascua from New Era University; and Ms. Princess Mhay Hernandez, curator from Nayong Pilipino.
The guests were welcomed by INC Museum Director and curator Brother Cornelio Cortez Jr. and New Era University Center for Philippine Studies (CPS) Adviser Brother Zaldy Petorio. After the tour, the guests gathered at the Museum Café to discuss their experience at the museum, as well as future activities of CPS.
