Center for Philippine Studies together with HUDYAT will present a special webinar titled “Tanghal Wika: Serye ng mga Talakayan sa Pagpapayabong ng Wikang Filipino”, intended to kick up discussions on the relevance of the Filipino Language in globalization, discourse, and communication. Dr. Vidal Mendoza and Prof. Rey Centeno will be the guest speakers in this webinar which will be held via Zoom and broadcasted live on the YouTube Channel of HUDYAT at 9:00am on November 11, 2022.

A webinar on several aspects of literature returns in a brand-new event that will be launched by Center for Philippine Studies and HUDYAT. New Era University Center for Philippine Studies (CPS) will celebrate its 1st anniversary on May 18, 2022 via Zoom Meeting at 9 o’clock in the morning. The celebration of the establishment of NEU-CPS with the theme, “Pagpapayabong ng Kaalamang Bayan Tungo sa Paglilingkod sa Sangkatauhan” marks the beginning of more meaningful activities in the future that will promote knowledge on Philippine culture and history.

This is the resumption of the YouTube program after the series of recovery break observed by universities in the country in response to the impact of COVID-19.Dr. May Jane Rodriguez-Tatel from the University of the Philippines-Diliman will present the Indigenous Peoples (IPs) in the Philippines along the course of Philippine history.

December 2021 marks the 125th death anniversary of Dr. Jose P. Rizal. In this historic month, the Center for Philippine Studies (CPS) will conduct a webinar titled, Ika-125 Taon ng Kamatayan ni Rizal: Patuloy na Pag-aalaala at Pagsasakabuluhan. The theme signifies the continuation of the effort to highlight the legacy of our national hero as CPS conducted an international webinar on Rizal last June 2021 in commemoration of his 160th birth anniversary.
